- Confirm the flush tubing is primed and free of air or blockage.

- Prime the flush line as needed before the next flush.
Check Cassette Seating and Loading
- Stop the pump according to facility procedure and inspect the cassette.
- Remove and reload the cassette.
- Make sure the cassette is seated correctly and the tubing is not twisted, stretched, or pinched.
- Confirm the cassette loads smoothly and the pump recognizes the set properly.
Clean and Dry the Occlusion Sensor Region
- Remove the cassette.
- Inspect the occlusion sensor area for moisture, formula, residue, or debris.
- Clean and dry the occlusion sensor region according to facility-approved cleaning practices.
- Reload the cassette and restart testing.
Replace the Feeding Set if Needed
- If the flush bag is full, tubing is open, the line is primed, and the cassette area is clean, replace the feeding set.
- Use a compatible Kangaroo OMNI feeding set.
- Prime the flush tubing first when using a feed/flush set, then prime the feed tubing.
- Restart the pump and confirm whether the Flush Error returns.

Remove the pump from service, label it Out of Service, and send it for bench evaluation or repair.

Never troubleshoot a Flush Error alarm on an active patient. Move the patient to a backup device first if continued feeding or flushing is needed.
