The sterilizer or interface should be:
Removed from automated workflow when traceability cannot be assured.
Labeled or clearly identified as unavailable for network-dependent processing.
Evaluated by Clinical Engineering, Information Services, STERIS, and the tracking-system support team as appropriate.
Tested using approved documentation and tools.
Configured or repaired only by qualified personnel.
